THE BOG!!

Last Friday our class and the other 5th classes went to the bog in County Kildare. It was good fun. My class and Mrs kelly's class went on the mini bus and the other two classes went on the coach. The drive down to the bog was an hour and a bit but it didn't seem that long . Una O' Brien was my partner on the bus . When we got there we all but our wellies on and got off the bus. The first animal I saw was a peacock and then a few geese. After about 10 mins a man called Cecil Potterton led us towards the bog. We walked though two fields and then crossed a road by then I was Clodagh's partner. In about 5 mins we were at the bog. It was like walking on jelly and some people fell into puddles. There were some lovely plants like spaganum moss, lichen, sundrew heather, bog cotton, bog asphodel and cranberries. They were really lovely but then guess what? It was time to go ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!
So we had our lunch and went home. It was a really good day.
