Almost all newspapers only ever mention the richest man Bill Gates but Gates is slowly being overtaken as "Worlds Richest Man" by none other than Apple Board of Directors member and friend of Steve Jobs: Larry Ellison. He has now got over 50 billion dollars worth in shares. But Gates still has over 55 billion dollars worth (also in shares).
Larry Ellison is no stranger to making headlines, due to bad behaviour. His plane company Wing & A Prayer sued the city of San Jose for not living up to their threat to enforce an ordinance against his use of San Jose International Airport.
Apple recently showed that it had given Wing & A Prayer $102,865 approximately. The problem is that the company is owned by Ellison only, and not the company Apple or Oracle. But he did supply the Board of Directors with Private Airplanes for long distance journeys across the USA.
The point is, Gates might still be the richest man in the world (according to the Guinness book of records) but Larry Ellison and his Friend, the CEO of Pixar Steve Jobs are not far behind!
